A 16 song career cross-section released by Houston Party Records in Spain, HPR 035. Among the tracks: 'After The Storm', a rare Gene Clark song featuring Mare Winningham, the title cut with Percy Sledge duetting with Carla, Mick Taylor tearing it up on 'Justice', plus contributions from Gene Clark, Mark Lindsay, Ian McLagan, and The Textones. "Tell The Truth!" by Phil Upchurch on Evidence Music. The Jazz/Pop guitar legend tackles Jazz standards (Jive Samba and Take Five) as well as some contemporary tunes by Steely Dan, and Eric Johnson. It features an eclectic group of musicians: Wallace Roney on trumpet, Ernie Watts on saxophone, Barry Goldberg on Hammond B3 organ, Bob Hurst on bass, Ndugu Chancler on drums, and Master Henry Gibson on percussion. The songs range from three written by Van Morrison, Otis Redding, and Boz Scaggs to some exploratory original instrumentals. Due in November on Evidence Music. Kris Wiley - recorded & mixed. Kris is a guitar player who many in the Los Angeles area have been waiting for a breakout release from for a few years. Expect something a bit less Blues oriented and a whole lot more Rock'n'Roll than one would have surmised.
